1.High strength.The strength of short fiber is 2.6 ~ 5.7cN/dtex, and that of high strength fiber is 5.6 ~ 8.0cN/dtex.Because of its low hygroscopicity, its wet state strength and dry state strength are basically the same.Impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon, 20 times higher than viscose fiber.

2.Good elasticity.The elasticity is close to wool and can be almost completely restored when elongated by 5% ~ 6%.The crease resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not crease and has good dimensional stability.The elastic modulus is 22 ~ 141CN /dtex, 2 ~ 3 times higher than nylon.Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic resilience, therefore, it is strong, durable, wrinkle-resistant and ironing free.

3.The heat-resistant polyester is made by melt spinning, and the formed fiber can be melted by heating again. It belongs to thermoplastic fiber.The melting point of polyester is relatively high, and the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are small, so the heat resistance and thermal insulation of polyester fiber is higher.It’s the best synthetic fiber.

4.Good thermoplasticity, poor fusion resistance.Because of its smooth surface and close arrangement of internal molecules, polyester is the best heat-resistant fabric among synthetic fabrics. It has thermoplasticity and can be used to make pleated skirts with long-lasting pleats.At the same time, the polyester fabric has poor melting resistance, and it is easy to form holes when it meets soot and sparks.Accordingly, when wearing, should avoid to wait for contact with cigarette butts, spark as far as possible.

5.Good wear resistance.Wear resistance is second only to the best wear resistance of nylon, than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers are better.

6.Good light resistance.The light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber.The light fastness of polyester fabric is better than that of acrylic fiber, but its light fastness is better than that of natural fiber fabric.Especially behind the glass, the light resistance is very good, almost as good as the acrylic fiber.

7.Corrosion resistance.Resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids.It is resistant to dilute alkali and mildew, but can be decomposed by hot alkali.There are strong acid and alkali resistance, anti ultraviolet ability.
